County considers adding new subdivision complliance officer SEMINOLE – With the Texas legislature’s passing of a maze of sometimes complicated new regulations aimed at subdivisions, combined with Gaines County’s growth in new subdivision applications, the Gaines County Commissioners on Wednesday entertained the idea of adding a new code enforcement officer. If approved, the County would create a new office, possibly under management by the Gaines County Sheriff’s Department, whose primary function would be to ensure compliance to both existing and newly instituted state regulations.
