Discussions by the Dawson County Commissioners Court on Tuesday further clarified plans announced earlier to regulate temporary oilfield “flow lines” placed in the right-of-way along county roads.
Action on a policy was tabled Tuesday, as commissioners asked County Judge Foy O’Brien to draft a policy that can be considered for approval at a later meeting.
Precinct 4 Commissioner Russell Cox recommended using a policy already in place in Martin County as a guideline for Dawson County.
“We know it’s a good policy,” Cox said. “They already have experience in dealing with this.”
