The Knights of Columbus’ Lamesa Council 7953 held its annual youth free throw shooting championships this past Sunday at the Lamesa Middle School Girls’ Gym. Youngsters between the ages of nine and 14 years old, representing Lamesa, Klondike and Borden County, competed on the local level. Winning the various divisions were: Ely Acevedo, nine year old boys; Kaily Acevedo, 10 year old girls; Evalyn Rodriguez, 12 year old girls; Damian Salinas, 13 year old boys; and John David Salinas, 14 year old boys.
