Schools here already have dismissed for the holiday break, with businesses and government offices following suite with various Christmas schedules this week. Almost everything here will be shut down on Christmas Day, with the schedules varying for Christmas Eve and the day after Christmas. Lamesa National Bank, First United Bank’s Lamesa branch, the local office of State National Bank, and Caprock Federal Credit Union all will close at noon on Christmas Eve.
