The Sands Mustangs basketball girls on Tuesday definitely didn’t look like a squad that slipped six notches in this week’s Class 1A Top 25 state poll. The Mustang girls are 13-3 on the year after thumping the Meadow Broncos, 55-29, at Ackerly. Sands is ranked 13th in this week’s Texas Association of Basketball Coaches’ Class 1A poll after being seventh just a week ago. “We got off to a real good start tonight.
