Multiple candidates now are seeking election to the positions of Dawson County Sheriff and Precinct 1 County Commissioner. The final days of the filing period for next spring’s party primaries saw the incumbents in those positions draw challengers on both the Republican and Democratic sides. The filing deadline was 6 p.m. this past Monday.
