Sands High School’s girls and boys basketball squads both were victorious on Tuesday.
The Mustang girls are now 8-2 on the year after rolling to a 65-16 victory at Jayton. Now ranked 12th in this week’s state poll, Sands had a commanding 33-6 halftime lead.
“This was our eighth game in seven days but our girls’ effort was still good, which shows a lot of mental toughness,” Sands Coach Ben Connell said.
“After this game, we told our girls to go ahead and enjoy the (Thanksgiving) break.”
