The Borden County Coyotes have been crowned state six-man football champs two of the past three years.
Coach Trey Richey’s Coyotes begin another postseason voyage to what they hope will be another state title will begin right here in Lamesa.
The 10-0 Coyotes will open the Division I state playoffs by taking on 3-7 Morton at 7 p.m. Thursday at Golden Tornado Stadium.
“We’re real excited about playing over there,” BC Coach Trey Richey said.
“They’ve got that new turf. Hopefully, we’ll perform well on it.”
