Several special events are being planned here to honor local military veterans in connection with Veterans Day on Monday. Annual breakfast The annual Veterans Day breakfast hosted by Lamesa High School is scheduled for 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. Monday at the Dawson County Senior Citizens Center. Putting the event together for local veterans are the LHS culinary program and the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America. Last year’s breakfast had a turnout of about 50 veterans, and organizers are hoping to have even more this year. The culinary class will be preparing omelets for the veterans.
