If there was any question about the O’Donnell Eagles’ focus Friday night at Ackerly, it didn’t take long to silence any doubters.
With a possible showdown looming next Friday against Klondike, the Eagles erupted for 40 first-quarter points and never looked back in a 48-0 thumping of the Sands Mustangs.
“Coming in, we were a little concerned about playing against a Sands’ team which hasn’t had much success this season. But our guys came in playing with a lot of intensity and got the job done,” O’Donnell Coach Fernando Baeza said.
