Still hoping to reach the goal they set to aid three agencies which serve local youth and elderly residents, officials with the Dawson County United Fund are extending their current fund drive. “We’re extending the campaign until Nov. 20,” United Fund President and Campaign Chairman Dale Hansard said Friday. “We were hoping to be able to wrap it up and be done asking, but we’re going to keep asking (for donations).” As of Friday, he said, the drive had reached 78 percent of the goal of raising $60,000.
