Three Borden County High School students completed the Machinery Operation, Safety and Repair portion of the Feedyard Technician Certification Program Oct. 24 at West Texas A&M University in Canyon. The goal of the program is to give students a basic understanding of the knowledge and skills necessary to work in the fed beef industry. Students who completed the program were Jake Avey, Colbin Briley and Brad Thomas. WTAMU students tested participants on metal-working skills including welding and cutting.
