Five people were ordered to spend time behind bars and three others were placed on probation during activity in 106th District Court here last Wednesday. Jacob Paul Adam, age 27, was sentenced by Judge Reed Filley to serve 10 years in state prison. That sentence came after Judge Filley entered a guilty judgment against Adam in a 2017 case alleging he burglarized a residence here. Adam was given credit on his sentence for more than 14 months already spent in custody.
