Directors of the Mesa Underground Water Conservation District agreed Wednesday to extend their working relationship with a West Texas consulting firm.
The board approved a two-year contract with RMBJ Geo, a Floydada-based company which provides hydrology consulting services for the district.
“They do all of our mapping and draw-down studies,” said Jacob Hernandez, district manager.
The new contract – the district previously had a one-year contract with the firm – will be at a rate of $6,000 per year.
Also during their regular meeting the board approved permits for 12 new water wells scattered around the county.
