Lamesa police are continuing to investigate a shooting incident Saturday night which claimed the lives of a 28-year-old Lamesa woman and her unborn child. Preliminary autopsy results indicate Champagne Woods suffered three gunshot wounds – one in the arm and two in the back, according to Lamesa Police Chief Dale Alwan Jr. “The young lady was seven months pregnant, and both she and the baby passed,” Alwan told the Press-Reporter.
