Champagne Woods

    Funeral services for Champagne Janae Woods, age 28 of Lamesa will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 26, 2019 at Ebenezer Baptist Church with Pastor Jerry Gardner officiating.
    The burial committal will follow to the Dawson County Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home.
    Viewing will be held on Thursday, October 25, 2019 starting at 2:00 p.m., and on Friday, October 25, 2019 with a family visitation hour from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a Wake Service at 7:00 p.m. at Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel.
    Champagne passed away on Saturday, October 19, 2019 in Lamesa. 
    She was born on January 8, 1991 in Phoenix, Arizona. 
    Champagne was preceded in death by her grandmother, Johnnie McClendon.
    Champagne was devoted to her precious son, Kyrie, her family and friends. She enjoyed working with children. She was a hard worker.  Her many jobs included, the Early Head Start School, Maker’s Design,  McDonald’s of Lamesa, as well as private sitting for the Cozart family. Champagne was loved by many. 
    Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Kyrie Woods of Lamesa; her mother, Macha McClendon of Denver, CO.; her brother, Tyrell Manuel of Lamesa, her sisters, Diwayna McClendon, and Jerri Manuel, both of Lamesa; her great-grandmothers, Pearl Butler and Marie Mitchell, both of Lamesa; her uncles, Steve Alexander, and Clarence Whitely, both of Lamesa; her aunts, Debra Alexander, Pearl Manuel, and uncle, Aaron Manuel, and Evita McClendon, all of Lamesa; a hosts of relatives and friends.
