After making it to the state cross country meet last year as a freshman, Sands’ Landry Morrow is proving herself as somebody to watch again this fall. Morrow turned in a strong seventh place finish at last Saturday’s big Plainview meet, finishing that course in 12:39. “There were something like 270 girls up at Plainview last weekend, so that was excellent. This was a new P.R. (personal record) for Landry,” Sands Coach Dustin Wall said. “She’s been injured this year so really she’s been struggling up until now.
