After making it to the state cross country meet last year as a freshman, Sands’ Landry Morrow is proving herself as somebody to watch again this fall.
Morrow turned in a strong seventh place finish at last Saturday’s big Plainview meet, finishing that course in 12:39.
“There were something like 270 girls up at Plainview last weekend, so that was excellent. This was a new P.R. (personal record) for Landry,” Sands Coach Dustin Wall said. “She’s been injured this year so really she’s been struggling up until now. This really was about the first weekend where Landry felt good and ran good.”
