Lubbock attorney Artie Aguilar will continue representing indigent defendants in district court here under a contract approved Tuesday by the Dawson County Commissioners Court.
The contract with Aguilar, as recommended by District Judge Reed Filley, will cost Dawson County $34,983 for the 2020 fiscal year, according to County Judge Foy O’Brien.
O’Brien presented Filley’s recommendations to the commissioners court, as Filley was unable to attend Tuesday’s meeting.
