Curtains will open Friday evening for the first of five presentations by the Lamesa Community Players of Neil Simon’s “The Prisoner of Second Avenue.”
The show features real-life couple Randy and Letha Leonard in the roles of Mel and Edna Edison.
The Edisons are a middle-aged, middle-class couple living in a Manhattan high-rise apartment building. They are trying to keep things together while facing various challenges ranging from losing his job to their apartment being burglarized in broad daylight.
