Paula P. Guerra

    A Catholic funeral mass will be celebrated for Paula P. Guerra age 78 of Lamesa at 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 27, 2019 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church with Father Joseph Kurumbel, officiating. 
    The burial will follow in the Dawson County Cemetery. 
    Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home.
    Viewing will be held on Wednesday, September 25th and Thursday, September 26th with a Thursday evening Rosary prayer service starting at 7:00 p.m. at Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel.
    Paula passed away on Monday, September 23, 2019 in Lubbock, Texas. 
    She was born on January 15, 1941 in Cuero, Texas. Paula married Bernabe Guerra on August 28, 1957 in Greeley, Colorado.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, Marcial Padron and Macaria Reyna; her son, Gabriel Guerra; her grandsons, Mateo Reyna, Noel Guerra; her great-grandson, Daylon Deshawn Guerra.
    Paula loved going to the casino with her husband. She enjoyed bingo. She loved going to her grandchildren’s and great-grandchildren’s activities. She enjoyed holidays with her beloved children. She loved dancing at special family functions.
    Paula is survived by her family: her husband, Bernabe Guerra of Lamesa, TX.; sons and daughters, Joe and Elida Dimas of Lamesa, TX., Ismael Guerra and Amy Guerra of Anna, TX., Juan Guerra and Estella Guerra of Lamesa, Texas, Jesus Guerra of Granger, TX., Leonard Macias and Isabel Macias of Lamesa, TX., Roberto Guerra and Maryann Guerra of Lamesa, TX., Jinkin and Julia Ortiz of Lamesa, TX., Alfredo Guerra and Eliza Guerra of Levelland, TX., Gilberto Guerra and SoniaGuerra of Brenham, TX., and Andreas and Jamie Guerra of Georgetown, TX.; grandchildren 43, with 2 in heaven; great-grandchildren, 25, with 2 on-the-way, and 1 in heaven; 1 great-great-grandchild; numerous relatives and friends.
