Eight-year-old third grader Peyton Rowden of South Carolina recently had a book published titled “The Fox and The Butterflies” Peyton is the great-granddaughter of Dean and Frieda Johnson of Lamesa. She is the granddaughter of Monette Rowden, who illustrated the book for her. The book follows a young fox playing in the field chasing butterflies. While playing, it gets hurt and must go to the hospital. Monette Rowden’s daughter-in-law, Christina Rowden, works for Avon and helped make the book possible.
