With their sights set on another trip to the playoffs, the Klondike Cougars have opened District 3-2A play by winning two out of their first three matches.
Coach Eva Myers’ Cougars bounced back into the 3-2A win column Tuesday at Cougar Gymnasium by spiking the Loop Longhorns, 25-11, 25-16, 25-23.
“Our girls really did a phenomenal job again tonight,” Myers said. “You’ve got to give Loop’s girls credit. Their kids really fought hard. We were down 5-0 in that third set. I guess our girls decided that it was time to go back to work.”
