New O’Donnell football coach Fernando Baeza looks at Friday night’s six-man contest at home against Ropes as a ‘statement’ game.
Despite the fact that Baeza’s Eagles haven’t had much trouble winning their first two games they find themselves as decisive 36-point underdogs to 2-0 Ropes.
“It sounds like it’s been a while since O’Donnell’s beat these guys,” Baeza said. “In our first two games everybody was expecting us to win so this week could give us a chance to make a big statement if we can come out playing well again.”
