The Klondike Cougars started District 3-2A volleyball competition Tuesday evening at Cougar Gymnasium.
A late rally helped them Cougars knock off the Rotan Yellowhammers, 25-11, 24-26, 25-9 and 25-22.
“Our young kids really stepped it up in this match. We were down 21-12 in the fourth set where our kids really showed a lot of determination,” Klondike Coach Eva Myers said.
“More than anything we were just proud of the way our kids never gave up when things weren’t going right against a pretty scrappy Rotan team.”
The win improved the Cougars’ season mark to 15-10.
