School board approves highest teacher salary scale in state
ANDREWS – A teacher salary scale change with an emphasis on early years approved at the August board meeting sets up Andrews ISD as the highest paying district on average in the state, according to school officials. Slight relief in recapture coupled with other TEA funding allowed the district to make the salary structure move, which will cost an additional $2 million and also includes raises for all other staff, Superintendent Bobby Azam said.
