With work already underway, an official groundbreaking ceremony was held Tuesday morning for the new Career and Technology Education (CTE) addition at Lamesa High School.
Lamesa school board members and administrators wielded gold-painted shovels for a group groundbreaking photograph.
Also on hand were several other school employees, construction and engineering representatives, and a group of LHS vocational students.
Dirt work began last month on the 34,800-square-foot addition which will be located both north and west of the current band hall.
