Starting his first full year as the director of Lamesa High School’s Golden Tornado Band, Michael Munoz is looking for a great year. “We’re really looking forward to the growth in the music ability of our band members,” Munoz said. “We’ll all be working hard to make sure our kids experience success this year.” Some 109 members will make up the Golden Tornado marching band this year and they already have been practicing for two weeks. “With school starting, we’ll have band first period and practice Monday nights,” said Munoz.
