Joann Truitt

    Graveside services for Joann Truitt, 80, of Lamesa will be held on Wednesday, August 14, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Dawson County Cemetery with Bo Jackson officiating.
    Arrangements are under the direction of Branon Funeral Home. 
    Joann passed away on Saturday, August 10, 2019 in Lubbock, Texas. 
    She was born August 11, 1938 in Athens, Texas to James and Clinton (Halbert) Mott. She married Charles Truitt August 12, 1956 in Lamesa, Texas. They were married for 55 years. 
    She loved spending time with her family and playing slot machines. 
    Joann is survived by her children; Troy Truitt and wife, Sharlett, of Carriere, Mississippi, Terry Truitt and wife, Vicky, of Abilene, Keith Truitt and wife, Tahnee, of Lubbock and Kayla and husband, Wade Roberts, of Garden City; sister, Louise Moore of Lubbock; sister in law, Nancy Mott of Lamesa; niece, Bobbie Brownlow of Lubbock; grandchildren, Brandon Tuitt, Danielle Ladner, Jenna Wade Neal, Jake Dutton, Teighlor Sturgess, Tanner Truitt, Dakota Roberts and Kara Roberts; numerous great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. 
    She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles Truitt; and son, Kelly Truitt.
