When the Golden Tornadoes’ football squad started its workouts here bright and early here Monday morning a familiar face was part of the Lamesa High School coaching staff.
Chris Arredondo, a 2000 LHS graduate, will continue his coaching career right here at his high school alma mater this fall.
In the fall of 1999, Arredondo was a key player on the Golden Tornadoes’ state semi-finalist football team – only the second to advance that far in the football playoffs in school history. In addition to playing wide receiver and defensive end on that squad, Arredondo also handled the place-kicking duties.
