As busy as it’s going to start getting for high school football teams across the state this week, they shouldn’t expect any sympathy from high school volleyballers. Volleyball workouts got underway this past Thursday, and the Golden Tor spikers will soon jump right into the 2019 season with both feet. Coach Elfida Williams’ troops will begin the week on Monday morning with scrimmages at Shallowater, starting against Levelland with freshmen and JV at 8:30 a.m. and the varsity at 9:15 a.m. The Golden Tors’ varsity will then take on Lubbock Christian High School at 10 a.m. The local spikers will wrap up ...
