The Dawson school system in Welch has completed putting together its educational staff for the coming year with the hiring of Marsha Wiseman during a special called school board meeting this past Tuesday evening, according to Superintendent Layne Sheets. Wiseman was hired on a 10-month contract as a halftime instructor. Sheets said Wiseman likely will be teaching math and English. Wiseman is an experienced teacher, having previously taught at Brownfield, Morton, Glen Rose and Muleshoe. “This fills out our teaching staff,” Sheets said. “It’s (hiring teachers) been a challenge this year because of the uncertainty over how much state funding we will be getting.” ...
