At least two people were injured in a four-vehicle accident about 6:15 a.m. Tuesday south of Lamesa along Highway 349. One person was transported by Medical Arts Hospital EMS to the emergency room in Lamesa and a second person was flown by medical helicopter to an area hospital. Fire Chief Larry Duyck said he did not know the extent of their injuries. He said the person flown by helicopter actually was driving the fourth vehicle involved, wrecking his vehicle as he came upon the scene of the initial three-vehicle accident.
