Rehabilitation of the runways, ramps and aprons, which has been in plans for several years, currently is underway at Lamesa Municipal Airport about two miles northeast of Lamesa. Work on Runway 7/25, which is oriented east and west and measures 4,006 feet long and 60 feet wide, got underway about two weeks ago, John Farris, who works for the airport board to coordinate activities at the airport, told the Press-Reporter earlier this week.
