Recent Sands High School graduate Landon Morrow is one of 15 students across the state who have been honored as 2019 Student Heroes by the Sate Board of Education (SBOE).
“Landon is one of the most amazing kids I’ve come across in education,” said Sands counselor and theater director Tana Howard, who helped nominate Morrow for the award.
“He steps up in any capacity and is the most humble of students.”
Begun in 2015, the Student Heroes Award recognizes public school students who voluntarily perform acts of kindness.
