Jimmy Rodriguez

    Mass of Christian Burial for Jimmy D. Rodriguez, 44, of Lamesa, will be held on Thursday, June 13, 2019, at 2:00 p.m., at Saint Margaret Mary’s Catholic Church with Father Joseph Kurumbel as Celebrant. 
    Interment will follow in Dawson County Cemetery under the direction of Branon Funeral Home. 
    Rosary will be held on Tuesday, June 11, and on Wednesday, June 12, 2019, at 7:00 p.m., at Branon Funeral Home Chapel. 
    Jimmy passed away on Saturday, June 8, 2019 in Lamesa. He was born on December 12, 1974 in Lamesa to Gloria (Gusman) and Jesse Rodriguez. Jimmy had a passion for deep sea fishing. 
    He was employed at Guidon Energy where he was a senior lease operator, and formerly employed as an assistant foreman at Devon Energy for many years. 
    He is survived by his children, Jade Rodriguez of Los Angeles, California, and James Rodriguez of Lamesa; his parents, Gloria Rodriguez and Ramiro Acosta of Covington, Washington, and Jesse Rodriguez and wife, Essie, of Lamesa; sister, Debbie Rodriguez of Austin; brother, Jeff Rodriguez of Austin; grandmother, Margarita Gusman of Austin; his former spouse and mother of his children, Melissa Moreno and husband, Jason, of Lamesa; nephews, Jeff Rodriguez of Lamesa, and Justin Arismendez of Austin; and several aunts and uncles. 
    He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Chris and Ysabel Rodriguez and Alfredo Gusman; and uncle, Chris Rodriguez Jr.
