A repeat offender has been sentenced to serve five years in prison after pleading guilty to a Dawson County charge alleging assault on a family member. Joe Angel Lopez, age 33, was sentenced in 106th District Court to serve five years in prison. He was given credit on that sentence for almost four months already spent in custody.
