A five-year lease for 150 acres of city-owned farmland near the city landfill has been awarded to Benny Flowers, who actually was the second bidder earlier this year.
Andy Boyd was awarded the lease contract in February after he submitted a proposal to pay the city $17,500 per year, compared to a proposal of $10,500 per year submitted by Flowers.
