A total of 72 people participated in the 9th Annual Chicken Fried Steak Festival Doubles Championship Tournament held last Saturday on the disc golf course in Forrest Park. All of those players were from out of town, according to Shawn Barton, who headed up the tournament. “We didn’t have anyone from Lamesa who played that day,” Barton said. Cash prizes were paid for first, second and third places in two divisions. Those divisions were Pro and Amateur with a total of 36 two-person teams competing.
