Tristin Vela of Lamesa was one of more than 90 students recently inducted into South Plains College’s Kappa Mu Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society.
The induction ceremony featured nearly 50 participants and was hosted in the Sundown Room of the college in Levelland.
Alan Worley, dean of Arts and Sciences, served as the keynote address speaker.
To be eligible for induction, students must attend an institution offering an associate degree program, complete at least 15 hours of coursework, be a full-time student and maintain a grade point average of 3.25 or above.
