Local FFA teams turned in strong performances at a series of Career Development Event competitions from Thursday through Saturday of last week. Lamesa and Klondike teams alternated in taking the first- and second-place positions in cotton judging competition at three separate contests over a two-day period. Lamesa was first and Klondike second among 49 teams at West Texas A&M University on Friday, with those positions reversed at the Clarendon College contest the next day.
