The city’s combined water conservation and drought contingency plans and the city’s curfew ordinance for minors will be discussed during two separate public hearings this coming week.
Those public hearings will be part of the Lamesa City Council’s regular meeting, which will get underway at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday in City Hall, 601 South 1st Street.
Utilities Director Dionicio Garza Jr. told the Press-Reporter that the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) requires the city to update its Water Conservation Plan and Drought Contingency Plan every five years.
