The Golden Tornadoes’ tennis squad brought home three medals from a tournament on Thursday at Level-land. Freshman Zoe Trevino won three out of four matches to capture second place in her girls singles bracket. Sophomore Kira Rodriquez also took second place in her girls singles bracket. Sophomore Mariah Rivas placed third in her girls singles bracket. Tennis coach Michael Muñoz continues being encouraged with his young squad in its first season of play. “One of our doubles teams even beat one of our district opponents this week from Levelland,” Coach Muñoz said of Lamesa’s Phillip Carnero and Caleb Sims. “That really was pretty exciting to see.
