Everett Stidham, a student from O’Donnell Middle School, competed at the South Plains Regional Science and Engineering Fair that was held at Texas Tech University in Lubbock on Feb. 21.
Everett’s project was one of the top projects of the fair, winning a blue ribbon and a gold medal.
Everett’s project focused on finding ways to use gin trash productively. He used the trash to absorb metal that pollutes land and water. He also made the trash more fire resistant.
