O’Donnell High School’s Cinderella boys basketball season ended literally just a little short on Monday evening at Andrews.
A year after struggling through a 7-20 season, the OHS hoopsters finished this season in the playoffs with a 44-41 loss to Garden City.
“They’ve got to be the biggest team in the state, while we’ve got to be the smallest. They started two 6-foot-6 kids, one 6-foot-8 and one 6-5,” O’Donnell first year coach Rocky Feliciano said.
Despite their height disadvantage the Eagles gave the Bearkats a run for their money. Garden City was up just 31-25 at the end of the third quarter.
