Borden County’s boys basketball team is getting a good tune-up for what they hope will be another long run in the Class 1A state playoffs.
After capturing the District 8-1A title, the Coyotes won two practice games against strong opponents this past week.
On Thursday, Coach Bubba Edwards’ squad dominated a Wink squad that was one of three teams that tied for top honors in their Class 2A district.
Borden County won that game, played in Andrews, by a score of 69-30.
“It was nice to play someone other than ourselves in practice,” Edwards said.
