Although they made it past the end of their regular season schedule, the Lamesa High School boys’ hopes for getting into the state basketball playoffs ended on Friday evening in Littlefield. With the Golden Tornadoes having finished District 3-4A in a tie with Hereford for the district’s fourth and final playoff spot, the two teams faced off in a “play-in” game to see which team would get to advance.
