After struggling through district play, the Klondike boys basketball team ended the season on a high note on Tuesday night with a 62-56 overtime win over playoff-bound Garden City.
“This was the best game we’ve had all season,” Cougar Coach Chad Myers said after the win. “They fought hard.”
Klondike came out strong to open the game and led 14-5 after the first quarter.
“That was awesome,” Coach Myers said of that early showing.
The Cougars were ahead 25-21 at the half but got outscored 31-27 to end the second half, leaving the game deadlocked at 52-all at the end of regulation play.
