Lamesa’s boys played Levelland a tough game in the second half of their District 3-4A matchup here Friday night at Follis Gymnasium. It was not enough to overcome a tough first half, however, as Levelland went home with a 72-42 win over the Golden Tornadoes. Levelland outscored Lamesa 19-3 in the first quarter and 16-9 in the second period to take a commanding 35-12 lead at halftime. Levelland had five three-point goals in that first half.
