A Lamesa man is facing a felony charge after he allegedly pointed a knife and acted “in a threatening manner” at an officer with the Lamesa Police Department.
Jorge Gonzales, 25, was arrested last Friday and booked into Dawson County Jail for aggravated assault against a public servant, which is a first-degree felony, according to Lamesa Chief of Police Dale E. Alwan Sr.
Officers initially responded to a report of a possible intoxicated pedestrian along South Bryan Avenue near Forrest Park around 5:41 p.m. Friday.
