Weldon Baker has filed as a candidate for the District 4 seat, which will be vacated by Sonya Raney, on the Lamesa school board. Current board member Ernest Ogeda filed last week as a candidate to seek re-election as the District 5 representative on that board. As of Wednesday morning, according to information from the school administration office, Ogeda and Baker were the only candidates to file for the school board.
